MSC R&D has successfully achieved a 5-star EFQM Recognised for Excellence status at the first attempt following a rigorous 3-day assessment.

Nigel Foster, MSC R&D Managing Director, said:

“This is the culmination of all our staff and associates’ hard work and shared passion in the embracing and implementing of MSCs continuous improvement culture which maintains at all times MSC R&D’s Centre of Excellence status in the business services it provides.

It is also further testament to our team that we were able to successfully undertake the assessment whilst addressing the various business challenges created by the Covid-19 crisis.”

EFQM Recognised for Excellence is Europe’s leading recognition programme for organisational performance, and forms part of the EFQM Levels of Excellence.

MSC R&D was one of the few companies of its size to achieve the first level of excellence – Committed to Excellence, for companies new to continuous improvement, in December 2017.

The Recognised for Excellence level is for organisations that are more experienced in continuous improvement. 5-star status recognises the quality of management within an organisation, well-defined processes and some positive trends for results for some of the criteria. However, it does not suggest perfection and organisations work hard with the feedback to continue their journey.
