Following on from our successful first attempt at achieving a 5-star EFQM Recognised for Excellence status, MSC R&D has now been recognised as a finalist in the SME category of the 2020 British Quality Foundation (BQF) UK Excellence Awards.

The Annual BQF UK Excellence Awards recognise and reward outstanding organisations who demonstrate exceptional levels of excellence across key areas of their business.

The Awards honour the champions, the innovators, the leaders, the role models, and individuals engaged in and committed to improving business for employees, customers and stakeholders.

Although no date has yet been announced for the date of the Award Ceremony due to the Covid19 situation, we await news of this with eager anticipation.

EFQM Recognised for Excellence is Europe’s leading recognition programme for organisational performance, and forms part of thEFQM Levels of Excellence.

MSC R&D was one of the few companies of its size to achieve the first level of excellence – Committed to Excellence, for companies new to continuous improvement, in December 2017.

The Recognised for Excellence level is for organisations that are more experienced in continuous improvement. 5-star status recognises the quality of management within an organisation, well-defined processes and some positive trends for results for some of the criteria. However, it does not suggest perfection and organisations work hard with the feedback to continue their journey.

Like most companies, MSC R&D has had to adapt to new ways of working during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, our commitment to achieving excellence has enabled us make this transition with no detrimental impact on the quality and efficiency of our R&D tax credit claims service.

And, as we move slowly and cautiously out of lockdown and into the ‘new normal’ we will continue to provide the levels of support our valued customers have become accustomed to and expect.
